Bluestone villas above the Park Lands
Fitzroy lies 4 km north of the city centre in the City of Prospect, bounded by Cotton Street, Fitzroy Terrace, Prospect Road and Whinham and Halstead streets. It is almost entirely homes, looking over the northern Park Lands, with preserved Victorian and Edwardian houses, bluestone villas and some contemporary builds. The 2021 Census counted 285 occupied dwellings: 78.6% separate houses, 10.2% semi-detached and 12.3% flats, with 45.6% owned outright.
