St Agnes
Steventon, Teatree Gully, then St Agnes
St Agnes lies about 15 km north-east of the city centre in the City of Tea Tree Gully, next to Modbury, Ridgehaven and Banksia Park. The local post office has carried four names since about 1859: Steventon, Tea Tree Gully, Teatree Gully and, from 1969, St Agnes. Roughly one home in ten is a flat or unit (10.2% in 2021), and most of the rest are separate houses (85.9%). Four in five are owner-occupied.
That mix shapes the drain work. In a separate house, the sewer line serves one household and runs from the back fixtures to the connection. In a group of units, several homes often share one line before it reaches the sewer, so a blockage under one unit can back up into its neighbour. We trace the blockage to the right section, then clear it.
- In a unit group, tell us which units are affected. If more than one is backing up, the blockage is usually in the shared line.
- Units share more than a wall. Keep wipes and fat out of the drain, because one household's habit can block the line for the whole group.
- Know where your outside overflow gully is. On most houses it's a grated pipe near the bathroom or laundry, sitting a little above the ground around it.

Yes. Tell us the owner or property manager who approves the work and the tenant’s contact for access, and we book a time that suits the tenant.
