Greenwith
Golden Grove's northern hills
Greenwith's first streets went in from 1985, at the northern tip of the Golden Grove project in the City of Tea Tree Gully. It is a hilly suburb of parks and small lakes, with Slate and Cobbler creeks on the southern boundary and the Little Para River catchment to the north. A 2017 boundary change brought in part of Salisbury Heights. More than 10,000 people lived here in 2021, almost all in separate houses (97.1%).
Homes from the late 1980s on are mostly PVC underneath, so roots are less of a story here than in older suburbs. Blockages come from fat, wipes and the odd bit of building debris, and stormwater pits fill with silt from sloping yards. On a hillside block, the sewer line can run deep at one end and shallow at the other. We clear, inspect and repair both sewer and stormwater.
- Wipes labelled flushable still block PVC lines. Bin them, along with cotton buds and dental floss.
- Split-level home? Tell us which level the slow fixtures are on when you book. It shows us which branch of the drain to start with.
- Keep the stormwater pits on the low side of your block clear of soil and mulch, especially before the winter rain.
