Admirals' streets, drains of every age
Linden Park was created in 1882, when an existing allotment was cut up and sold for housing. It takes its name from the linden tree, and many of its streets are named after First Sea Lords and other admirals. The suburb sits between Glenunga, Frewville, Hazelwood Park and Beaumont. In 2021, 61.4% of its homes were separate houses and 31.3% semi-detached or townhouses, and about three-quarters were owned outright or with a mortgage.
