How it works
Camera first, then the method
The camera shows the length of damage, the pipe’s material and shape, and the access points. That decides the fix. You see the evidence before you’re asked to choose.
Where relining suits the pipe
A resin-soaked liner goes in through an existing opening and cures inside the old pipe, forming a new pipe within it. Cracked earthenware and root-entered joints that still hold their shape are good candidates, and the garden above stays put.
Where a dug repair is the answer
A collapsed or badly sagging section is dug out and replaced. We keep the dig to the failed section and quote it with the rest of the work, before we start.

Why Adelaide drains block

Adelaide sits on reactive soils, particularly Keswick Clay, black earth and some red-brown earth. Clay shrinks as it dries in summer and swells in winter, and that movement works at the joints of buried pipe.
Old earthenware
Earthenware pipe lasts a long time but is more brittle than plastic, so it cracks, and it has a joint every short length. Adelaide’s older suburbs still drain through plenty of it.
Thirsty roots
Roots find the moisture at a cracked or open joint and grow into the pipe. A dry summer sends them looking harder.
Winter rain
